Ensuring the ability to provide medical first aid on board ships is not only a vital safety measure but a legal requirement under the international STCW convention. All officers are required to hold a valid certificate. Our comprehensive Medical First Aid course is designed to equip you with the skills to act swiftly and efficiently during accidents and illnesses on board.
Medical Care Training:
Furthering the safety measures, the STCW Convention mandates the provision of medical care on ships. The individual assigned with the responsibility of medical care on board must have a valid certification. Our Medical Care course delivers thorough training on administering medical care to the sick and injured on board.
This integrated course adheres to the standards set in the STCW tables A-V/A-1 (Medical First Aid) and 4-2 (Medical Care), certified by institute code NL007 by the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT).
Course Experience:
Engage with realistic scenarios under the guidance of experienced instructors, learning to assess situations and act appropriately on board. The course covers medical evacuation management, emphasizing the practical application of medical first aid and care on board.

- Identifying and evaluating accidents and illnesses on board
- Rapid response with medical first aid
- Providing medical care following national and international on-board medical guidelines
- Monitoring patient’s condition
- Coordinating external assistance and medical evacuations
Schedule:
- Day 1: Arrive for registration at 8 am.
- Day 2: Training kicks off at 08:15, with both days wrapping up around 5 pm.

Submission Requirements: Kindly provide the following in advance:
- A passport photo (name + birth date on the back)
- Certificate of physical inspection for seafaring
- Excerpts from personal register or a copy of your passport.
Certification: Upon successful assessment in the final test, an officially approved STCW’78 as amended certificate (ILenT/Shipping approved) will be issued, and the sample booklet will be stamped. Ensure the timely submission of required documents to facilitate the certification process.
